About Ann Murillo, PT, Certified Yoga Instructor
Ann has over 20 years of experience working with people who have been injured or are experiencing pain and facilitating their safe return to life’s activities and exercise. She received her B.S. in Physical Therapy from University of Connecticut.
She treats musculoskeletal and neuromuscular dysfunction patients of all types both in the clinic and at home. She has been an adjunct instructor for TMJ evaluation and treatment at Quinnipiac University’s Orthopedic Physical Therapy MS program. She is also an adjunct instructor at the Connecticut School of Massage and has taught classes in visceral mobilization.
She has extensive continuing education in manual therapy – osteopathic muscle energy treatment, joint mobilization, myofascial release, strain-counterstrain, cranio-sacral, and visceral mobilization. She has also studied exercise theory – biomechanics, posture, balance, yoga, Pilates, and therapeutic breath-work. Other areas of specialty for Ann include: geriatric wellness, women’s health, TMJ dysfunction, vestibular rehabilitation, and chronic pain management.
Ann has completed an intensive training regimen and is a certified Yoga instructor. She is a graduate of the 2012 West Hartford Yoga Teacher Training program. She combines her physical therapy expertise with Yoga instruction, making safe flexibility and active relaxation possible for anyone who desires it.
